no-ip.com linux updater client reloaded

August 21, 2012

This is an update for no-ip2 patched to make -i option more flexible post.
Nothing special, previous post is still valid but I’ve improved my no-ip.com linux updater client patch adding -f options.
Now, using it, it is possible – when running the client in daemon (background) mode – to save the pid into a file.
By default /var/run/no-ip.pid is used but that default can be overriden specifing the file name as -f argument (example: -f /tmp/no-ip.pid)
Ah – the patch changes configuration file name from no-ip2.conf to no-ip.conf: I want to be version agnostic!!!
Please find here the patch (includes ‘-i optional argument’ chnages from previous post) no-ip2.c.patch.
